I want my clients to feel unstuck. To me, that means two main things: making progress on your own set of goals and feeling better equipped to continue making progress in the future, even when unforeseen problems arise. I provide Individual and Relational Therapy, Pre-marital Counseling and Sex Therapy

My Approaches to Therapy

I take a flexible, collaborative approach to therapy and adapt to the specific needs of each client. Most of all, I'm creative thinker. I will challenge you to look at yourself, your relationships and your struggles from a new perspective. I will help you define your own sets of goals and help you reach them.

I work work with couples and individuals from all walks of life, but a common theme is that most of my clients feel stuck. Some feel stuck in their romantic relationships while others struggle with sexual difficulties. Some are stuck trying to figure out who they are and what they want out of life, and some know what they want but are having difficulty taking the next step. I want to help you get unstuck.

I welcome folks from all walks of life and have substantial experience working with sexual minorities including LGBTQ clients, kinky clients, and clients in non-traditional/nonmonogamous relationships. I enjoy working with clients across the gender spectrum including assisting with active transition.

My Qualifications as a Therapist

From the beginning of my training I have focused on systemic therapy (particularly couples therapy and sex therapy). I've benefited from six years of supervision under AASECT certified sex therapy supervisors and worked at Philadelphia's Council For Relationships and Institute for Sex Therapy before moving to San Francisco. I taught undergraduate courses on Marriage and Family Development at Philadelphia University and have lectured on a wide range of topics relating to therapy, human sexuality, and gender identity at institutions such as Thomas Jefferson University, Council for Relationships, Franklin Square Hospital, Temple University, and The Middleton Center.  I specialize in couples issues, sexual issues, family issues, identity, life transitions, gender and sexuality.
