September Meditation Course in San Francisco

Mindfulness meditation is a powerful technique for getting "unstuck" from the thoughts and habits that keep you feeling stressed and overwhelmed. SF Stress and Anxiety Center is sponsoring a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) group, led by teachers Krista De Castella and David Perls, in Hayes Valley on Tuesday nights (7:00-9:30) from October 18th through December 3rd.. 

What is MBSR?

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight-week program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. MBSR offers an invitation to move toward greater balance, control and participation in life. It introduces participants to practices for cultivating ease, resilience and uprightness in the midst of difficult life circumstances. This may involve relating to and working with stress, pain, illness and the many challenges and demands of day-to-day life.
